Ella Karin Polley

Ella Karin Polley, 78, of Ossian, formerly of Fort Wayne, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 12, 1940 in Kempa Skorecka, Poland to the late Gottlieb and Emilie (Sorget) Kohls. She was a graduate of Central High School and worked as a homemaker, caring for her home and family. Ella enjoyed gardening, bowling, and fishing. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Ossian. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma and great grandma, survived by her husband of 58 years, Wayne A. Polley, Jr. of Ossian; daughters, Cindy (Mark) Imel and Cassy (Jeff) Johnson, both of Ossian; grandchildren, Erin (Dustin) Auer, Kierstin (Mike) Saldivar, Morgin (Caleb) Buyer, and Nicole (Josh) Clark; great grandchildren, Liam, Ian, and Eli Auer, Mia and Evan Saldivar, Conley and Keegan Clark, and Baby Buyer due in October; and brother Alfred Kohls of Huntington. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Leo and Hartmund Kohls; and a great grandchild. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 123 South Jefferson Street, Ossian, IN 46777 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, IN 46777. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred Memorials in memory of Ella may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or First Presbyterian Church.
