Joanne - I was so sorry to read of Norm's passing in the Queen's Alumni magazine.He left a wonderful impression on Stuart and me after meeting him only once at your parents' home 39 years ago.Hoping your memories are giving you strength as you find your new course.

As someone who had Mr. Gibb for several courses both in Mowat and Joseph Howe/Centenial Road, I really respected him and one of my fondest memories is of his History class in Grade 7 where he allowed me 3 full classes to fight for the rights of Native Canadians, eventually swaying my classmates. He was a great man. My deepest sympathies.

I just learned of Norm's passing.  He was my History teacher back at Sir Oliver Mowat C.I. in grade 10.  He was a wonderful teacher and I hope that he knew what an impact he had on his students.  My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

History was never one of my favorite subjects, but he was one teacher I will never forget. My condolences to the whole family during this tough time.

I was very sorry to read about Mr. Gibb's passing. It was during his American History class that I developed my passion for history, which led to me becoming a history teacher myself. He was an inspiration to me and he will be missed.

Mr. Gibb was my history teacher in the mid 80's at Sir Oliver Mowat CI.  I always enjoyed his classes and continued to take history throughout high school because of him.  Blessings to his family.  I am sure he will be sadly missed.

I will never forget my classes with Norm Gibb.  He was a fantastic teacher.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this painful time.  May you all get strength and peace knowing that he had a positive influence on many of his students and he is now in a better place where there is no more pain.
