Passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 7th, 2011 surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Joseph (2001). Loving mother of Rose (George) Cassar, Francis (Paul) Mizzi, Emilda (Joe)Thibodeau, Nina (the late Robert) McQuay, George (Jenny) Marmara, Emmanuel (Susan) Marmara, Julia (the late William) Atkins, Samuel (Corrine) Marmara and Theresa Sullivan. Cherished Nunna of 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Maria will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, October 11th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY CROSS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (373 Simcoe St. S., Oshawa) on Wednesday, October 12th at 10:30 A.M. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
