John Eric Sutherland

Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 5th, 2014, at the age of 61. Beloved husband and soulmate of Kim (nee Mitchell) for 36 years. Predeceased by his parents Eric and Yvonne Sutherland. Loving son-in-law of Violet Mitchell who predeceased him in 2005. He is survived by his sister-in-law Karen and husband Brad Macht and sister-in-law Cynthia, husband Greg Roberts, and niece and nephew Kelly and Mitchell. He will be deeply missed by his long time family friend Ted Marlow. And missing him as well will be his loyal four legged companion, Miss Bailey. Those who knew him will remember how he loved his life at the cottage, took pleasure watching his favourite hockey team, The Oshawa Generals, followed Nascar racing and playing golf. John had a heart of gold and always did for others and never took enough time out for himself. As per his own request, there will be no formal funeral service.
