Harold "Harry" Hass

Harry stick-handled his way through the game of living with pancreatic cancer, but lost 4-3 in the third period. The end was deservedly peaceful. Loving husband of Cathy for 35 years. Beloved father to Stefan (Jessica), Jeff (Sarah), and Emily (Jeff). Doting Opa to Kacie, Hudson, and Scarlett. Harry will be greatly missed by his extended family, friends, hockey teammates, colleagues and former students of Monsignor John Pereyma Secondary School. He will be remembered as warm, loving, highly original, generous of spirit, and steadfast in his faith. He lived his 61 years to the fullest. The Hass family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Rothenstein, oncologist, for his compassionate and excellent care. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, January 20th from 7 – 9 p.m. and Thursday, January 21st from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Memorial Mass will be held at ST JOSEPH THE WORKER PARISH (1100 Mary St. N., Oshawa) on Friday, January 22nd at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Refuge Youth Outreach Centre in Oshawa or The Hamilton Down Syndrome Association.
