Elisabeth Sanders

Elisabeth Sanders passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, with her family by her side. She is now in the arms of our Lord and finally re-united with her beloved husband, Wilhelm (Bill) of 57 years. Born in Papenburg, Germany to Gerhard Albers and Gesina (née Putten). Mother of Sonja ( husband Joe) and Frank, pre-deceased ( wife Sharon) Wonderful Oma to her grandchildren , Thomas, pre-deceased, Tianna, Kelson, Stephanie and Alyssa-Joe. Great-Oma to Amelia, Aleeah, and Azariah.

Elisabeth is pre-deceased by her eight siblings, Heinz, Hermann, Hans, Gerhard, Hubert, Helena, Gisela and Engelina. She will always be remembered as a loving and caring person. She enjoyed her garden and sharing her love of flowers. A talented and creative woman with great talents in needlecrafts. She was a professional business woman, tax consultant and jewellery store owner Best of all, she was the greatest Mom and Oma we could ever ask for.

Many thanks to the wonderful nurses, psw's and doctors who have been there for Elizabeth. She was well cared for at Lakeridge Health and those at Hillsdale showed her the same love as family.

All who knew who will know she loved to have flowers around. She also had a special place in her heart for Club Loreley where she and our family are long time members and where she contributed countless hours to the Club. Also, Mom and Dad were proud supporters of Covenant House in Toronto.

Visitation will be held at the Oshawa Funeral Home 847 King Street West on Tuesday March 25, 2025 from 5 - 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Mary of the People Parish (590 Marion Ave., Oshawa) on Wednesday March 26th at 10:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
