Donald Bruce Osmond

(GM Retiree 2005 after 33 Years)

Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa on Friday, July 11th, 2014 at the age of 68. Predeceased by his loving wife Sadie (2006) and by his parents Bill and Dora. Loving and devoted dad of Lisa, Donny and Darryl. Cherished Poppy of Travis and Nolan. Beloved brother of Bill (Joyce), Wanda and is predeceased by Sandra (Lewis) and Roy. Donald will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends, especially his companion Winnie. Those who knew Donald will remember him for his dedication to family and his quiet strength. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying his favourite hobbies hunting and fishing. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. The Osmond family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the caring and compassionate nursing staff and PSW’s especially Joan, Tom and Michelle for taking such good care of Donald and his family. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Monday, July 14th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, July 15th, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery after the service. Memorial donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
