Brent Taylor

Richard “Brent” Taylor passed away peacefully surrounded by his three loving children on April 1, 2023, at the age of 62. Born on March 28, 1961 in Oshawa, Ontario to the late Richard “Dick” and Wayne Taylor. Brent is survived by his three children, Rachel Taylor, Lindsay Dickson (Kris), Shawn Taylor (Katrina) and their mother and dear friend Susy Taylor. Loving grandfather to Carley Smith, Landon Smith, Natalie Taylor, Mitchell Taylor, and Lucas Taylor. He is also survived by his siblings Kemmis Taylor (Carolyn), Iris Connelly (Larry), and Cheryl Bickle (John). He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his extended family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends. Brent was a man of deep faith who loved his family and friends well. He leaves behind a legacy of courage and strength. He will be remembered for his generous heart, playful sense of humour and devout faith in God. It is with deep gratitude that the family would like to extend a warm and sincere thank you to the staff at Lakeridge Health for the love and care provided to Brent during his battle with ALS. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Thursday, April 6th from 4 – 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, April 7th at 1:30 p.m. Interment to take place on Saturday, April 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Smiths Falls.
