Vivian Thompson, 70, died at Fl. Hospital Hospice on Monday, March 10, 2014. She was born September 10, 1943, in New Smyrna, FL, to Edna and Clayton Dillon,and graduated from New Smyrna High School. A resident of Ormond Beach for many years Vivian was an accomplished Equestrian. She loved to teach horseback riding and ran ridding camps for children at her stable “ViV’s Stable” for over 20 years. She was also a Beautician in Holly Hill and Ormond Beach. She will be remembered for her loving personality and nurturing nature. Her family was most important to her; she was a good homemaker and a friend to all. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 39 years, Jimmie; sons, Maurice Thompson, Mike Brown and Harvey Brown and his wife Stephanie; daughters, Susie Thompson Rimmer and Candy Holloway and her husband Howard Peterson; brothers, Howard and Willard Dillon, sister, Lois Hafner; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Her son, Darryl Brown predeceased her. A memorial service will be held, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 548 N. Nova Road Ormond Beach.
