Tony was born in Hartford, CT to Anthony and Constance Melillo. He was a family man who loved to laugh, especially enjoying the classic comedies on T.V.
He liked to entertain his family by playing the accordion, which he learned at an early age. Tony also enjoyed tennis, country music, and the Miami Dolphins. He was an Auxiliary in the Highway Patrol for twenty-five years, and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Tony proudly served his country as a member of the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He wore his Korean Veteran’s Cap with pride. He later worked for Florida Power and Light, retiring after thirty-five years of service with them.
Tony is survived by his wife, Ginny Melillo; children, Tony Melillo, Gloria Melillo, Nichole Melillo, Christina Melillo; and his sister Judie Heesch.
A Memorial Mass will be held on January 6, 2021 at Our Lady of Hope in Port Orange, at 8:30 am. A burial will be held at a later date at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
