Born May 7, 1933, in Mineral Wells, WV, to her late parents Earl B. & Elsie Shepard. She and husband Russell moved to Daytona in 1955. She worked with Russell in their Toms Toasted Peanut Distributorship in Volusia County for many years. She then went to work for Volusia County School System, retiring after 23 years of service in 1993.
She loved gardening, growing beautiful flowers, reading, and was a member of Central Baptist Church. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Terri & Philip Adams, Rick & Marcy Barnhart and Russ & Kim Barnhart, Six Grandchildren, Six Great-Grandchildren and Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell, a sister Pauline Feick and two brothers Richard and Dale Shepard.
A visitation for Mary will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, Florida, followed by a funeral service at 2:30 PM.
Mary will be laid to rest in Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach, Florida.
