Joan Ann Smith

Joan Ann Smith, age 71, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023.

Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband, Barney McCoy Smith; parents, William W & Ruth S Brackett Sr.

Survived by Daughter, Sheryl (Joe) Cartwright; grandson, Steven K Smith and his fiancé Nicole Robertson; brothers Donald (Donnie) Brackett and William (Billy) Brackett Jr.; sister, Barbara Morgan and a host of family and friends.

Joan was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother her family was the world, the laughter, the tears, the memories will all be cherished dear to all. Joan will be missed by those who knew her.

Joan retired after 30+ years from the United States Post Office as a city carrier for Port Orange. After retirement Joan worked for East Coast Aluminum as their office manager to her passing.

A visitation for Joan will be held Monday, October 9, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach, Florida, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.

Joan will be laid to rest in Volusia Memorial Park, Ormond Beach, Florida.
