After faithfully serving his country in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, serving in both Korea and Vietnam, Gideon retired as a Senior Master Sergeant. He then went on to work, and retire, as warehouse manager for Eisenhauer Office Supply. Gideon loved his family, watching sports especially, the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox, and was a proud Veteran.
Gideon is survived by, his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Jan, one son Steve (Laina), three daughters Jackie Badore (Wayne), Terri Partlow (Peter), Mindy Roy (Dan Daneau); seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life visitation time for Gideon will be held Monday, February 3, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, Florida 32174 with a funeral service to immediately follow. A committal service, will full military honors, will occur Monday, February 3, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL.
The family has that in lieu of flowers a donation be made Gideon P. Roy, Jr.’s name to Advent Hospice in Daytona Beach, FL or a Hospice of your choice.
