Carl Cimiluca, 91, peacefully passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012 surrounded by his loved ones at Halifax Health-Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, FL. Carl was born on August 14, 1920 in New York, NY. He served in the United States Army and was a World War II veteran. Later, he was a self-employed businessman. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mathilda Dumont de Chassart, and his second wife, Magdaline “Mickey” Cimiluca. He and Mickey raised their family in New Jersey and moved to this area in 1982. Surviving are his three children, David (Faith) Cimiluca, Marybeth (Ivan) Chvisuk, and Bill (Nicole) Cimiluca. He was blessed with a blended family that included 20 grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren. Carl was passionate about golfing, cooking, dancing, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Epiphany Catholic Church in Port Orange and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a kind man, an independent thinker, and a devoted husband and father. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. A memorial service will be held in his honor on July 13, 2012 at 10:00AM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris BLVD, Port Orange, FL 32174.
