Andrei Norvell Thacker

Andrei Norvell Thacker was born in Sumter, South Carolina, September 1, 1962, to the late Jimmie Thacker, Jr. and Rose Marie Bradford Thacker. He entered God’s loving embrace on December 9, 2023. Reared in Knoxville, Tennessee, Andrei was a graduate of Austin-East High School. He received dual Bachelor of Science Degrees in Business Administration (Tennessee State University) and Healthcare Administration (Meharry Medical College) in Nashville, Tennessee. Andrei, despite obtaining degrees in Administration, always had a love and passion for cars. As a child, he loved assembling model cars. His love of automobiles led him to have many management roles in automotive sales industry that expanded into a career for over 37 years.

Andrei was a devoted disciple of Christ and was committed to living out the purpose God ordered for him. He leaves to forever cherish his memories a devoted wife, who he loved so much, Debbie Thacker (Ormond Beach, FL); son, Andrei Norvell Thacker, Jr. (Nashville, TN); daughter, Alexis (Kevin) Nicole Daniels (Smithville, TN); sister, Velvette LaJeune (Keith) Myles (Evans, GA); grandchildren, Isabelle Grace Daniels and Gabriel Jackson Daniels (Smithville, TN); niece, Noelle Marie Jones and nephew, Braylon Linwood Jones (Evans, GA). Additionally, fond memories will be held with Andrei’s bonus daughter, Heather Sothy (Milwaukee, WI) and Holly (Eric) Stagaard (Daytona Beach, FL); granddaughters, Samantha (Washington State), Hannah, Hope, Hallie, Heidi; great granddaughter, Annalisse (Daytona Beach, FL) and a host of relatives, colleagues and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 2 pm with visitation one hour prior to service at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home at 548 N Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, Florida.
