High School in 1948, she married and began her family of two daughters and two sons. Her traveling adventures began
in 1957 when Alice, her husband and four children made the long journey from New York to Florida. The family settled
near Cape Canaveral, Florida in the early stages of the Space Age, where the family marveled at the sight of rocket
launches seen from their backyard. Alice's husband worked at the Cape and she began her working career in town.
While attending and working at her church in Clearwater, Florida she felt her calling to missionary work. She
volunteered on several missions to Guatemala and Honduras, where she brought her love and caring heart to
orphanages. This was one of the highlights of her life. Alice had the opportunity to visit many wonderful places
throughout her life, including living several years in South Carolina. She finally and happily returned to Florida where
she again enjoyed her love of the sand, sun and ocean. Alice is survived by her four children, Dan Cave and wife
Margaret, Donna Cave Courtney and husband Robert, Robert Cave, Mary E. Cave May and husband Ron, and her
stepdaughter Linda Hayes, as well as her grandchildren, Gene May and wife Tammy, Krista Courtney, Tanya Cave,
Shaiann Burgos and Jose, and great grandchildren, Ashley Deloach and husband Kyle, Jorja May and Jayden May.
Arrangements under the direction of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach, FL.
