Peter John Kavanagh

Peter John Kavanagh, age 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Eastham, MA on January 27, 2020. Peter was born on June 22, 1961, to Peter and Marie (Kandy) Walsh Kavanagh. Peter grew up in Poughkeepsie, and after spending many summers on the cape he decided to call Cape Cod "home".

His greatest loves in life were his children, Casey (Kavanagh) Johnson and his son Cody Kavanagh. Along with his children, he leaves their mother, Susan Wirges. He also leaves behind Casey's husband Erik Johnson. Peter is also survived by his siblings, Kristine and her

husband David Maloney, Kyle and her husband Alfred Schabot, Kurt Kavanagh, all of Cape Cod, and Kathy and her husband Ronald Tritschler of Poughkeepsie, NY.

Peter worked in the construction industry and had an amazing talent operating his Bobcat. Peter learned to sail at the Orleans Yacht Club. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and water-skiing with family and friends. Peter could often be found at the water's edge, in front of the family home on the Town Cove digging a few dozen clams.

Peter was a man with great wit and an unmatched sense of humor. He will truly be missed.
