BREWSTER – Michael J. Settino, 65 passed away peacefully at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Thursday, January 19, 2012 from complications due to living with Type 1 Diabetes. Mike was born on August 11, 1946, the son of the late Michael and Mary (Maloney) Settino in Dorchester, MA. He graduated from Braintree High School and attended St. Anselm College in New Hampshire.
Mike was a retired disabled police officer for the town of Brewster. He also became an accomplished finish carpenter and talented furniture craftsman. Mike enjoyed constructing and flying radio controlled helicopters and airplanes. He loved his two special German shepherd dogs, the late Duncan and Tessa. After marrying his loving wife, Paula, they moved to Brewster, MA where they raised a family.
Michael is survived by his wife Paula (Williams) Settino of 42 years, his beloved children and their spouses, Robyn Settino and husband Rjae Easton of Stow, MA, Bill Settino and wife Candida of Union, NJ, 3 grandchildren, Caleb, Ava and Quinn and many nieces and nephews. Loving brother of Joanne Dee of Needham, MA, the late Judith Mullin and her surviving husband Edward of Scituate, MA and the late John Settino. There are many fond memories with his wife’s sisters and their spouses, Ernie and Susan Thibeault of Duxbury, MA and Greg and Jill Marcotte of Mansfield, MA.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, January 28, from 4 -7 p.m. at the 400 East Restaurant, 1421 Orleans Rd (Rt. 39), E. Harwich, MA.
