Words are inadequate to describe JIm Henry.   Think of all the positive words you can and you would still run short trying to describe him.    It was my pleasure  to know him and work with him for many years.  I will miss him forever and he and his family will always have a special spot in my heart.  The large attendance and 
 outpouring of love  by his friends and family, which I witnessed yesterday at his service was a tribute to him.   Rest in peace Jim with the knowledge of how much we all loved you and how you impacted each of us in a positive way.

Jim was one of a kind and a great friend to me and many, many more people.  He had a way of making you feel like you were his best friend and always had time for me when i reached out to him.  I loved riding in his BMW with a stick that looked two years old eventhough it was at least 20 years old.  I will miss his laugh and his kindness and his unique way of working a room like no one I have met.   His legacy will be one of kindness, laughter, true friendship, incredible humor and always looking out for his friends.  We all wish we could have that kind of legacy.  My condolences to his family.  RIP - Jim.

I do remember having late nights in Saddle Brook working on drawings. Jim would come in with big bags of Burger King,  more than any of of us could eat. I was never sure if it was to keep us going or to put us to sleep.

I met Jim in  1966  in Glen Rock N.J. We were classmates from grade 7 thru 12 and we graduated high school together in 1972. 
I had the pleasure of playing baseball with Jim in organized town leagues, sandlot pick up games and  high school baseball. Jim was a tremendous home run hitting first baseman. To this day I can recall  the flight of his team leading and league leading home runs that would soar deep over the fence. After graduating high school, like so many we went our separate ways. I recently moved to a 55 and over community in Warwick, N.Y. and then heard that Jim lived in Warwick and that he was ill. I regret not reconnecting with him. My condolences and prayers go out to his family. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

I first met Jim’s dad and his uncles in the early 80’s when Henry Bros. became a cellular agent for NYNEX Mobile Communications.  Over the years I got to know Jim and always admired his ability to get things done. I often kidded him about his office “piling system” and wondered how his phone had enough memory to store all the contacts he had on his Rolodex. He was a man of integrity, a pillar in the security world and I learned a lot from him.  We will all miss him but glad he is in a better place. Jim was a friend and mentor for me.   He took me in at HBE right out of college and changed my and my family’s lives for the better!  He had such a positive effect on everyone he knew.   He had a unique one of a kind personality that shined so bright and always made you feel good no matter what was going on.   We went on many trips and had lots of fun, he was always the life of the party.  It was effortless for him and his sense of humor, wit, and positive outlook was infectious.  He was extremely smart, very articulate, and had an analogy for everything.   He easily made friends with everyone he met and we all loved him, much like James Stewart in “It’s a Wonderful Life”.   He will live on in all of us and will always be remembered.  God Bless you Jim and your entire family!

I am very sorry to hear about Jim's passing.. I met Jim while working for Kratos years ago, alongside his two sons Alex and Christian. Jim may have looked intimidating but he always came with a smile and asked you how you were. He had a special way make you instantly feel at home and comfortable along side, him no matter who you were in the company. He was a person of good character, and that showed through his sons. My condolences go out to his family, I am sorry for your loss.

Jim extended kindness to me by offering me work after being laid off  from Denon. I was instrumental in cleaning up HBE accounts receivable just prior to their NASDAQ listing to go public. This was a tremendous learning opportunity forcing me to step outside my comfort zone learning the security business. I 
am grateful to have had this opportunity and will miss Jim as a dear friend always there to help. My sincere condolences to his family.

Hopefully, we are all lucky to encounter someone in our lifetime who seems larger than life itself. Someone who can walk into a room, and before they say a word...you can feel their presence. Someone who inspires you to be better, someone who reinforces that it is ok to fail and learn from it. That someone was Jim Henry. I am a better person for having the opportunity to have known Jim. I have been fortunate to have known Jim and his family for over fifty years.  I worked with Jim starting when he was in high school.  At the end of the school day, he would help at Henry Bros. doing whatever tasks needed to be done.  He would ask a lot of questions and provide insight on better ways to accomplish tasks.  After he completed his engineering degree and came aboard at Henry Bros. he started as an installer learning all the processes that went into system designs and installations.  His understanding of the industry did not only come from books but from spending time in the field and seeing first hand what was involved with a successful system design and installation.  
When you talked with Jim you new instantly that you were talking with a sincere person who was comfortable and very knowledgeable about the subject being discussed. When discussing an idea, he would carefully listen to what you had to say and then discuss the positive and negatives of your idea. You were made comfortable with the outcome because of the thorough evaluation of the concept that was discussed. 
Jim’s love for his family and of the industry was evident whenever with talked with him. The way he put his heart into all he did was infectious to those around him.  He made you want to be the best you could be.  His constant guidance made me a better and more caring person.  It is an honor to be considered one of his friends.  He will be missed but the memories of all the wonderful things he did will live on.

I met Jim in the late 70's, First as a customer, than as an employee,
later as a business partner, but always as a friend.
I am sure that all know that he was a giant of a man,his demeanor, 
sense of humor, compassion, knowledge of his craft all contributed
to his being known in the industry as"he wears a white hat".
This past Friday I went to Temple, a rare happening for me , but I went with a mission. At every Jewish service a prayer, called Mishabaha is said by the entire congregation. It asks G-D ,to grant healing and comfort to the ill and
injured. At my request Jim was called out by name from the altar, and the 
congregation prayed for him.
While "help" did not come, he is not suffering and at peace. 
While it might be difficult to realize it from this note, But as far as I am concerned, Jim walked on water.
You , his family members were blessed to have him as an integral part of your lives.
Please, enjoy and savor the memories you all have and try to emulate the
goodness that was his life.

As my story with the awesome Henry Family went, it all began with Jim's mother and father in law who raised Arabian Horses at their  Farm in Massachusetts. 
Cindy's  parents . 
Mr. And Mrs. Nash loved Jim and as I continued to ride and train the Horses, I'd began to get to know Jim, and the then kids  more and more.
Yes, he was a great Father and Husband but he was also a great Son in Law and of course Son, and Brother. 
He inspired me in many ways. His bravery and courage through the last 2 years were remarkable. 
Thanks Jim,  I'm the lucky one to have been able to call you my friend.  Rest now, we'll meet again .

Nearly 40 years of friendship. So many fond memories from Progressive Dinner Parties  to Poolside and Christmas celebrations and Raccoons in the studio...Jim will always be remembered as that source of laughter and high spirits. Jim was an amazing human. He had an impact on everyone he met. He taught me so much about security.  I’ll never forget when we had a big dinner in Arizon and I hired a bus to take us all to the restaurant.  It was a huge coach.  Jim was flying back that night for his HOF event so we had the coach take him to the airport! He was always a good sport and had a smile on his face! Thank you to his family for sharing him with us!! He will be missed! Hugs to the Henry family.

My heartfelt condolences to Cindy and the entire Henry family.  Jim was a personal and professional friend & confidant.   I could always count on Jim to be honest and direct and would often seek his advice and opinion on career decisions.  One of my fondest memories was when he generously shared his beautiful family beach house with me and my family, the very first season they owned it, I remember my husband and I being extremely thankful for the opportunity to spend our first ever two-week vacation,  in one of the most perfect beach houses we had ever stayed in .    Also, as our vacation was winding down, we became extremely grateful for the opportunity to get to know Jim and Cindy on a more personal level as they were right down the street and on call if we needed them, which we did.    Jim made it a priority to introduce us to Dick & Jane, their new beach house neighbors, as Dick had a similar sense of humor to Jim’s and he knew we would hit it off.   My two sisters and a girlfriend visited us while we stayed there as a result the  house full of woman tested and broke their hot water heater!  While Dick offered to let the women shower in HIS outdoor shower, Jim jumped through hoops to get it repaired quickly as the water filled his basement floor.   Needless to say it was repaired within hours.  Nothing like an emergency to bring people together!  
I will forever remember the kindness and support Jim afforded  me and my family.  Sending much love to the Henry family and sharing in their sorrow for this tremendous loss.

Jim was a Mentor to me. I remember him flying me to New Jersey from California to personally interview me for a manager position within HBE. It was the first time I ever had a car waiting for me at the airport, which took me to his Headquarters. Back then I was new to the Industry and an End-User. He took me under his wing and helped me make the transition to the Value-Added-reseller side of the business. I personally owe my ending up with NASA for 17 years to Jim. He was the one I respected most in the industry. He was a great man. I’m saddened by the loss. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

To Cindy Henry & the Henry Family:
The world has lost a  very bright light, a gentle, humble, sincere, gentleman. His name was Jim Henry, former CEO, COB of Henry Bros. Electronics in Fair Lawn, NJ. I was the Senior Recruiter,  in HR, who worked closely with the HBE leadership, in building such a dynamic, highly respected & family oriented organization. As many in the industry knew, HBE was a successful & National Integrated Security company. Jim was the reason, for creating such a wonderful culture. He knew all of our names, our responsibilities & if you were fortunate, you worked directly with him. We all enjoyed working with Jim, a well-respected, very likable man. I can speak for everyone, that Jim will always be remembered as a Leader in the Integrated Security Industry. More importantly, as our Leader & as our friend. 
Cindy & family, I send my deepest sympathy, love, prayers for peace & strength, to help heal your broken hearts. May Jim rest peacefully & May God Bless All of you always….

Jim Henry lit up a room when he walked in.  Jim was smart, confident, successful and passionate.

Most important, he was a strong family man who was totally dedicated to Cindy, his children and his grandchildren.

He was unique in that you always knew where you stood with Jim. I admired him for his frankness and honesty and of course his ability to make us all see the lighter side with a good laugh.

I owe my entire post law enforcement career to Jim Henry. He had the ability to be a father, brother, great friend and mentor all rolled into one person. I worked for him with Diversified for a few years and was a member of the Board of Directors. In that role I was able to see the real reach the man had to not only get things done, but to be able to find solutions to problems and make everyone in the room feel like they had been heard and satisfied.

Over the past 22 years, I turned to him often for his advise and counsel. In the times when things were difficult, I remember one of his favorite sayings, "the juice aint worth the squeeze".... and most times, that saying put the problem in a proper frame.

To say he will be missed is an understatement. Life will go on, but that void will never be filled.

I met Jim 42 years ago when he hired my late husband john.  It was the beginning of a lifelong friendship of conversations, laughter, hard work, traveling, and luncheons n dinners between the 2 of them. I remember when I was pregnant with my 40 yr old son,  we went to visit Jim and Cindy in Warwick. I had terrible morning sickness all the time. Jim decided he was going to show us around, as we were looking to buy a home. Well, up n down n in n out he drove like he was on fire in the hills! I was so car sick! I never forgot that! He came to pay his respects 3/22 for John's celebration of life,  even though he himself was ill.
       My heart goes out to Cindy and his family. R.I.P. Jim, you deserve it! Thank you for all the great memories and friendship you gave my john. I hope you guys are up there putting Mr Bubble in any fountains you may find!

I met Jim 20 years ago when i just started in this industry.  I will miss seeing him at various industry functions,  he always had a smile and would take time to talk to so may people.   He was the kind of guy that when he was talking with you he made you feel like you were the most important person in the room.   I will miss Jim.

I am truly sorry to have learned about Jim's passing. I met Jim on a flight back from a security trade show that took place in Las Vegas several years back. I was blown away by his enthusiasm for our industry but more so by his natural curiosity and genuine caring for others. I didn't know it at the time, but I had made a connection with an industry legend and that legend would go on to take my calls and confer with me many times over the years that followed, offering advice and guidance on more than a few occasions that turned out to be pivotal for me. Advice to a person that he only knew for a few hours. I'm sure his family is well aware of stories like these but I was grateful to have made that connection. My deepest condolences to the family he leaves behind. I know he will be missed by many within the security industry but I'll bet he didn't know the real extent of his presence. Rest in peace Jim!

May Jim's memory be a blessing. He was a friend and a mentor for me for more than 30 years in the security industry.  He was a giant in the industry in both stature and influence. We will miss Jim.

Jim began as a professional acquaintance.  From that beginning, a strong personal friendship developed over 15+ years.  Above all, Jim was a man of integrity and character, complimented by a big heart and humor.  

I am honored to have earned his friendship, trust, and respect.  My love goes out to Cindy and the Henry family.  He cherished his family and spoke often of the pride he had with his kids and grandkids.

A special man who blessed many.  He will be missed and fondly remembered.
