COLEMAN, JR., WILLIAM "BILL" C., age 87 of Orlando passed away December 13, 2012. He was born January 21, 1925 in Martin, TN, but spent his childhood visiting his grandparents and cousins in Orlando. A WWII veteran and participant in the Normandy Invasion, he made Orlando his permanent residence after serving in the US Army's 101st Airborne Division
from June 1943 to November 1945. From Orlando, he built a diverse and notable career with such distinctions as: Orange County's first republican representative elected to the Florida State Legislature; Florida's first Secretary of Transportation and started Orlando's first dinner/theater concept restaurant. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Antoinette (Toni); sons William (Billy) C. Coleman, III and Kevin M. Coleman; daughter Kimberly Coleman Moore; preceded in death by daughter Bonny Coleman Archer; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Carey Hand- Colonial funeral home, 2811 Curry Ford, Orlando, on Wednesday, December 19, from 6-8PM. Graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery at 11AM on Thursday, December 20 with a reception following at the University Club of Orlando at 150 E. Central Blvd. from 1-3PM.
