Sharon Christine Tocco

Tocco, Sharon Christine, 81, of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025. Born July 8, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan to Harmon and Mildred Steffen, Sharon is survived by her children, Chris (Rachel) and Kim, and her grandchildren, Emma, Stella, and Michael. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore.

It is easy to celebrate a life well lived, and Sharon knew what it meant to live life to the fullest. She loved music and dancing, good food (especially breakfast), spending time with friends, and playing games with her family every chance she got. Holidays were always her favorite times, and her generosity was boundless when it came to those she loved.

A middle school teacher for over two decades, Sharon had the honor of being named Orange County Teacher of the Year in 1988. She always had a morsel of wisdom or a story to share with those who came into her life, and we are blessed for having known her and felt the power of her love. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to A Gift for Teaching, which provides free school supplies to students and teachers in Orange and Osceola counties.

The family will receive friends at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817 on Tuesday, April 22nd from 4:00PM - 7:00PM. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, April 23rd at 10:00AM with interment afterwards at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
