Shannon Mary Browning, 40, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on July 23, 2021. Born and raised in Orlando she continued to stay a lifelong resident of the city. Shannon graduated from Colonial High School in 1999 and began working at Target as an undercover security officer which inspired her passion in law enforcement. She joined Orange County Corrections Department in 2004 and had since become a well-respected and loved Master Corrections Officer. Shannon enjoyed playing softball and has played for Azalea Park Little League, Colonial High, Travel ball for many teams and was on the Law Enforcement Softball Olympics. While playing her team was the first team to ever play at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Disney winning the tournament beating 35 other teams. Shannon was an amazing and dedicated mother, sister, aunt and friend. Shannon is survived by her two children, Adrian and Aundrea NeSmith; her parents, Mary “Cece” and Howard Browning; sisters, Louise Oquendo, Kristi Gay and her husband Paul and Jaime Rolle; nieces and nephews, Alexander Rodriguez, Alexis Lopez, Noel and Kiara Oquendo, Kendall and Caleb Gay, K’mya and Kalaya Rolle; best friends for over 25 years, Jessica and Kenny Sciacca; and the father of her children, Antonio NeSmith. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and grandmother Sharon Roberts. She was predeceased by her eldest sister, Maradith Browning and grandparents, Annie Louise and Emmett Browning Sr. 2 Corinthians 4: 8-9 She was pressed on every side with troubles but, she did not let it crush her or break her. She didn’t understand why things happen as they do. But she never gave up, she never quit.
