I had been trying to get in touch with Ricky for sometime before I saw this obituary. We worked together many years ago at Tournament Bowlers Association.   I absolutely adored him and kept in touch for many years. Last saw him about eight years ago and we had such a great visit.  I am heartbroken to see my long time friend has passed away. May he Rest In Peace.  He would be the only one to understand this comment:  “Fish Face”. It was a joke we laughed at every tone we talked. 💔

We were lucky to meet Rick, and a buddy of his, at Homestead-Miami Motor Speedway what seems like a lifetime ago. We said after the race that we would keep in touch. The four of us made it a point to be at that race every year. Rick was never without his pickled okra and oreos, and an occasional ice cream cone.
Rick never met a stranger. He was kind, funny and would do anything for anybody.
Rick was a true friend and I am honored to call him my brother.

Nothing is more painful in this world than losing a family member or close friend. The tragedy of your death has left a deep wound my friend. You will be missed. Rest In Peace. 

Rick was one of the nicest people walking the planet. I worked with him at Bowlers Pro Shop and then he helped me get a job at the Orlando Sentinel.  He shared happy and sad times with me and always was supportive.  He was a helpful, cheerful and upbeat person with a great heart.  Thank you for always being such a great friend.  You will be missed. Love you always Ricky!

I’ve been fortunate to call Rick my very good friend for over 40 years. The brother I never had. So many memories of good times and challenging times. I always knew Rick was there for me as he was for many others he knew. A better friend, you will never find. He’d give the shirt off his back and I know he helped numerous people over the years. He was kind, compassionate and a really good person. 
I’ll miss our Sunday phone calls before, after or during a NASCAR race and his always present chuckle and that “hey Bud” I was always greeted with. Gone way too soon. I’ll miss you my friend.

Many childhood memories with “Rickles.” Always a nice guy, Rest In Peace, Rick!
