Richard “Dick” Boucher, of Winter Park, FL, died at home March 7, 2023 at the age of 90. Dick was born at home in Crookston MN on Christmas 1932. He was the oldest son of seven children, and is survived by brother Joseph Boucher and sisters Joyce Rock, Delores Dickhut, and Jeanette Kelly. Dick farmed near Crookston MN, until joining the Navy in 1955. He was stationed in Japan and Anchorage, AK.
His first passion and greatest love was his beautiful wife, Keta. He married Chaquita “Keta” Taylor on June 6, 1959. They met at a work party in Chicago and enjoyed almost 64 years of marriage. Together they traveled around the world. Dick retired after over 30 years working for North Central, Republic, and Northwest Airlines, now Delta, in Chicago, IL, Devils Lake, ND and Orlando FL. He worked as a gate agent, ramp supervisor, and airport manager during his career. When not working, he enjoyed golfing, reading, wood working, fishing, and raising pineapples. In retirement, he volunteered at the Good Shepard Food Bank, in Maitland, FL for over 25 years.
He was survived by his wife, Keta, sons, David and Daniel, daughter, Darnell, son-in-law David Jayne, and grandchildren Laura Jayne and Jessica Boucher, daughter of son Darrell (deceased). A brief gravesite service will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2420 Harrell Rd, Orlando, FL, on March 17, 2023 at 11:30 am with a celebration of life gathering immediately following the service.
