154 Days ... 5 months ... I'm meeting Yvette tomorrow in Hawaii.  I hope our reunion will bring clarity ... as you did.  There are things only you would understand, and still acknowledged when you didn't.  That made me cherish you even more.  I can still sense your presence so I know you are near. This year began with a test, fell many times, and even more since 05/30/19. I have felt so lost since then ... putting my big girl panties on and pretending each day isn't a life.  As certainty crumbled, I needed validation from others.  We already learned what that can turn into ... damn shackles.  Your energy is much stronger now so it's time. Sensed it a week ago but realization only came today ... the familiarity behind that flicker.  Our bond need only be understood by the both of us, and all my choices need only be validated by me ... I lost that anchor, but had you to remind me.  We only lose if we don't win or learn, and we ain't losers so ... Release the Shackles! ... or was it Kraken?! Love you lots and miss you much.

120 Days ... and a birthday wish heaven sent.  I miss you so much...most days random memories bring a smile, some days a questionable look when a burst of laughter fills the silence, and other days...so difficult, almost crippling as the consuming sadness leaves me breathless, and the loneliness is nearly tangible.  It's reminiscent of becoming a new mother, in having to experience the first of many things.  Your birthday brought a realization this year will be the first of many moments without you.  Yet, all these days are just a reflection of how much I love you.  How your life enriched my life, and what a gift it was.  Thank you my most cherished friend, distance did not exist between us here, nor shall it now...

May you truly Rest In Peace with your baby girl. You are missed. 

Oh Michelle - Little things remind me of you a dozen times each day and I don't feel like you will ever really be gone from this office. It would not be an exaggeration to say that I often ask myself what Michelle would do in  situations, whether it is responding to an email or making introductions. I'd like to think that a little bit of your spark and spirit rubbed off on me and that I am a better person for it. Miss you friend.

90 Days...Today I found myself wondering what you were doing tonight and if you wanted to meet up  for dinner...It's crazy how I still have these thoughts instinctively.  Yesterday we shared 10 years of FB Anniversary...I keep having flashes of moments we've shared, or I'll see something and think Wow, Michelle would love this!  Miss you pretty much...

60 Days...A couple of weeks ago, we were discussing Friendships, pretty hilariously too and I could hear your laughter had you been here. I shared a text exchange between us.  You mentioned a coworker saying she'll destroy anyone who hurts her best friend, and you replied you'll never have to do that since your best friend is crazy and she'll do that herself! I asked if you told them you'll be bringing  the shovel? You said no, they don't have to know we're both demented... I miss you woman!  Our sense of humor was a bit diabolical, and we certainly knew how to laugh at ourselves...

30 days have gone by, and still I find myself repeating quirky habits we developed over 2 decades of soul sisterhood...I don't believe time will ever soften the painful reminder.  I miss you my dearest friend...

Michelle knew the Medicaid systems better than anyone I've ever known. Dedicated, passionate, knowledgeable, and restless, Michelle was a wonderful trainer and a great friend. I cannot believe she is gone, she never shared how ill she was; no surprise for someone as strong as her. She will be remembered and deeply missed. I hope her family finds a way back to peace through this difficult time. Lots of love to all who will miss her.

Michelle was one of those friends you could always count on. She would always put the needs of others before her own. I am going to miss her dearly, especially her smile and laugh. Rest well, Friend <3
