Michael was born on July 29, 1958, in Binghamton, New York to the late John Francis Kershaw and Velma Durella Kershaw.
Michael was a Dispatch Manager in the Transportation business for most of his career. When not working, Myke enjoyed fishing, golfing, and going out to eat with his friends. As an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, he watched them play every Sunday faithfully.
He loved vacations to Key West and the Florida beaches, but everyone knew his favorite vacation spot was Las Vegas. He made many trips there with his best friends. He was there when the Tampa Bay Bucs won there first Superbowl and it was a trip he would never forget.
He had the gift of an incredible sense of humor, and he was the life of the party wherever he was at.
But most important to Myke was his family and friends. He loved his niece and nephews as if they were his own children and he was a loving brother to both of his sisters. If you were lucky enough to be his friend, you would have someone who always looks out for you and someone you can always count on. Many times, he put others before himself. That’s who he was.
He is survived by his sisters Ann Chandler and Deborah Palen, his brother-in-law, Keith Palen, his niece, Lindsay Chandler, Delaney Chandler and Kristen Palen, his nephews Keith Michael Palen, Mitchell Palen, and Jack Kershaw. He was proceeded in death by his brother John Dennis Kershaw.
A Celebration of Life will be announced as soon as a date has been set.
He would ask that you raise a glass and cheers his incredible life. Cheers to you Myke, we love you and will miss you terribly.
