Marilyn Rae Jacobs, 80, died on Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Orlando, FL. She was born in Cleveland, OH on October 3, 1931 to Raymond D. and Dorothy (Stauffer) Smith, and married Albert H. Jacobs, Jr. on June 26, 1953 in Wilmington, DE. She was a long time member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Springfield and Longmeadow prior to moving to Florida in 2006. She graduated from the Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, DE, and was a legal secretary at Buckley, Richardson and Gelinas in Springfield from 1971 until her retirement in 1986.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen Wade of Orlando, FL, Sharon (Jim) Luchsinger of Valentine, NE, and Jerilyn (David) Paolino of Apex, NC; three sons, Eric (Barbara) Jacobs of Cheshire, CT, Scott (Leslie) Jacobs of New Orleans, LA, and Clark Jacobs of Orlando, FL; nine grandchildren, Dan (April), Erin, Lauren (Josh), Michelle, Andrew, Rachel, Nathan, Isaac, and Mitchell; one great-grandson, Dylan; and one step-great-granddaughter, Alyssa. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother, Ronald J. Smith.
The service will be private, and interment will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
