Louise was born on November 25, 1946, in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Laurent and Anita (Soucy) Roy.
She grew up in New Bedford where she started a family, lived in Fairhaven, Massachusetts for 24 years until she moved to Orlando, Florida in 2002.
She had a love for life and could brighten a room with her presence. She had a hobby of breeding Bichon Frise puppies for many years. She also loved cruising with Disney Cruise Line. She has met many lifelong friends doing both of those hobbies. She was a wine connoisseur and an amazing cook. She was also a member of the Marotte Association of Family and Friends of Central Florida.
She was passionate about her Catholic faith and was a loyal communicant of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Orlando. She served as a Religious Education teacher at St. Mary's Church in Fairhaven, Massachusetts for many years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Armand Henry Chagnon of Orlando, Florida; four sons, Michael and his partner, Sissy of Kissimmee, Florida, Thomas (Jody) of Dripping Springs, Texas, Jeffrey (Nolan) of Chico, California, Daniel (Annemarie) of Fairhaven, Massachusetts; sisters Rita (Robert) Petitjean of New Bedford, Massachusetts, Janet (James) Levasseur of Fairhaven, Massachusetts; twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and eight nieces and nephews whom loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Laurent Roy; sister-in-law, Cheryl Roy; and nephew, David Roy.
A funeral mass will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Orlando, Florida on Saturday June 10th at 2 PM, and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, on June 15 at 11 AM.
Interment to follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts June 15 at 1:45 PM.
