

Jeanaise M. Saunders, 87, of Orlando, FL, passed away peacefully at Advent Orlando Hospice Care on Monday, April 14, 2025. "Jean" as she was called by those who loved and knew her, was born April 26, 1937 in New Iberia, Louisiana.
She was married to Billy F. Richardson, Sr. in January 1960 until his death in August 1975. She was later remarried to Lee Saunders, Sr. in 1987 until his death in November 2007.
Jean had a career as a Quality Control Inspector at TriTech Electronics in East Orlando for over 25 years. There she made many lifelong friends and was affectionately known as "Mama Jean".
Having been born and raised on a farm in the rural countryside of Iberia Parish, Louisiana, Jean had never completed high school. But she went back to night school at Colonial High School Adult Education to complete her GED diploma a few months after her daughter, Debra, graduated from Colonial in 1978.
Jean was a faithful member of New Life Church on Alafaya Trail, Orlando. She was passionate for sharing Christ with others and loved her Senior Adults group. She loved Jesus, crocheting, Bible Studies, reading, gardening and her family and many friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Alex & Rena Bourque, New Iberia and her siblings Dudley Bourque, Joseph Bourque, Felix Bourque, Eunice Bourque Derouen, Inez Bourque Boudoin, and Jeffery Bourque, and many of their spouses, all of Louisiana and twin great niece & nephew Talon Antoine & Emma Grace Breaux of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana.
She is survived by her daughter Debra Richardson, Sarasota, son Billy F. Richardson, Jr. (Maura), Waynesville, NC, stepson Lee Saunders, Jr., Orlando, stepdaughter April Saunders, Orlando, granddaughter Stefanie Richardson, Lenoir City, TN, Stacie (William) Fernandez, Lockport, NY, great grandchildren Jordan Fernandez & Peyton Fernandez, Lockport, NY and many nieces and nephews, both on the Bourque and Richardson family sides.
A small graveside service will be held Saturday, 4/19, at 2pm at Chapel Hill Cemetery on Harrell Rd, Orlando, FL 32817. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at a later date at New Life Church, Orlando.
