One of the many fond memories that we  have of my dear father in law, Don Pachin, as I affectionately called him, was his love of growing crops in his miniature farm in his backyard. He was always working on his gandules (pigeon peas) plants or his papaya and avocado trees or the tomatoe plants or the corn stalks one year or the many pineapples that lined the back of the garden. He was a master as he worked the land and set traps for the pesky squirrels or moles that competed for his fruits and veggys. I was always in awe of his innate understanding of the land, the moon and how to successfully grow food.  Another memory we will always cherish is his storytelling of his youth and how he learned to build his life from a very young age. We would sit together for what seemed hours at a time to listen to his recollection of his early years working and learning a trade, enlisting in the Army to fight in the Korean war and later work in the National Guard as a reservist  for 20+ years.  We learned a lot from this amazing historian.  He loved cars and could fix any car problem you had. He was a problem solver and a good mathematician.  He had a devoted wife,  3 adult children,  many grand children and  several great grand children.  He will be laid to rest on 2/8/21 leaving behind a beautiful family legacy.  You will be missed so much, Don Pachin.  God bless you. We know you are in good hands now with our sweet Lord. 🙏💔🙏 💗🙏🇺🇸🙏

You  will always live in our hearts . We have so many special childhood memories with you. You were such a close friend, like a brother to our dad. Both of you had so many adventures together !! Along with both of you there we were : your kids. I remember you as someone so strong and sweet, always there for us. This is only a farewell; we are citizens of a higher and perfect place! How do you even begin to describe the tremendous human being that My Dad was? How do you put into words what you so greatly FEEL within all of your heart? How do you give notion of the strong, loving legacy he left behind

Dad. You have given me gifts that are more precious than anything in this world.  You gave me sound advice that has helped to shape my life profoundly.  I feel so grateful to have had as much time with you as I did. 

Dad, thank you for the wonderful vacations, our great times together, our family gatherings -  for teaching my how to drive and how to do math.  You always make feel special and deeply loved. Whether you knew my Dad well or you had just met him, 
you would know almost immediately how MUCH he loved his family, but in particular, his grandkids. It was a love that made me love him even more, if that is even possible.  Just a few days ago, 
my father squeezed my hand as I cried not knowing how I was going to live in a world without him in it, 

 Your legacy  will be one of a courageous, compassionate man with an exceptional life story, unparalleled integrity, countless friends, and a family that loved you.

I don't really know   how long it will take me to grieve this tremendous loss.  I can picture him walking into Heaven, greeted with such excitement by his loved ones, God shining His great light on him with open arms & saying, Come here my son. You did well. You did very well.” 

Goodbye, Dad. You will always live on in my heart.  You will forever live on.....

Papi, you could not have been a more special and loving father. You made me the man, father and husband  I am today. Thanks for all the knowledge, hard work and family values you instilled in me. I wish we could have had more time together, but I will always cherish all the special moments we spent together. You battled so much to remain with us for as long as you could, but now it’s time to rest. Thank you for taking care of mom and leaving her free of any financial burdens. Thank you for always being there when I was I need. I don’t think you ever knew how special you were to me and to all that surrounded you. I will always love and keep you in my heart forever. Your loving son ...
