Eugene Russell Smith, 93, of Orlando, died on Monday, April 25, 2022. He was born in Waynesburg, KY to the late Benjamin and Mary (Chrisman) Smith. Gene moved to Florida in 1972 after retiring from the U.S. Air Force. During his military years, he was stationed in various places including Germany, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Alaska and Illinois.
He was a hard-working man who always supported his family. His wisdom and guidance will never be forgotten.
Gene is survived by his daughter, Tina Crane and husband Jeffery; his grandchildren: Serena Hughes, Stephanie Hodges, Dustin and Dylan Crane and his 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen; his daughter, Patricia; his step-son Charlie Mabry and his grandson, Dimitri Crane.
