SCHAEFER, DAVID BENJAMIN passed away on October 4, 2010 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. David was only 22 years old. He was born in Orlando, Florida on June 2, 1988. He is survived by his loving parents Mark and Ellen Schaefer of Orlando and his brother Matthew of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Words cannot describe our pain and sorrow at the loss of our beautiful beloved son and brother. David was loved by so many people and touched the hearts of everyone that knew him. His gorgeous smile and laughter lifted everyone around him. He grew up in the Dover Shores Community and attended Dover Shores Elementary, Howard Middle School and Boone High School. He graduated from Valencia Community College and was a senior at UCF in the Rosen School of Hospitality Management. He was working at the Peabody Hotel and was so excited and looking forward to his bright future in the hospitality industry. David lived his life with passion, love and beauty. He had everything going for him in the world; gifted, handsome, funny, loving and a joy to be with. He was a talented guitar player, an incredible golfer; his Dad’s best fishing buddy and his brother’s best friend. He worshiped his dogs, Bo, Harley and Lucy. Our lives will be forever changed by the short time we had with him. We were blessed by his presence and know he is soaring with angels. A viewing will be held at 10 AM and a service to follow at 11 AM on Friday, October 8, 2010 at First Congregational Church of Winter Park, 225 S. Interlaken Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789. A burial will immediately follow at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship in David’s name will be established at the UCF Rosen School (Please contact Jennifer Rickmann at 407-823-1195).
