She was born on August 29, 1947 in Pittsboro, NC, to the late William Allen and Maggie Ellis Roberson. She was married to Charles Henry Ferrell Jr., the love of her life, her soul mate. They were married on August 3, 1968. Barbara was the youngest of ten children. Barbara owned and operated multiple restaurants in N.C. and ran several convenience stores as well before moving to Florida and spending the next twenty years working for Walt Disney World. She worked at Pleasure Island as a sous chef, but she was known best for her 24 hour parties. The parties were like going to Vegas, what happened there stayed there. Barbara is gone from our sight but will always remain in our hearts.
She was predeceased in death by her dear parents and her beloved husband Charles Henry Ferrell, Jr., as well as her sister, Margaret, brothers Junior, Waldo and Jack. Barbara is survived by her sisters; Catherine, Betty, Mary, Grace and brother Jimmy and her children; William “Tony” (Rita), Paul Wesley (Lisa), Penny Ferrell Craig (Tom) and Charles Jeffery Ferrell (Angela), grandchildren; Paul Wesley, Jr. (Whitney), William Michael, Andrew David, Maggie Marie, Luca Lee, Chau Quy Deim Tran (Quan) and Maka Wellons (Rick), great grandchildren; Gabriel Rezi, Rosie Chau Tran and Winston Quan Tran and Parker Wyatt Ferrell.
