Susan Ann Cascio

Susan was born November 27, 1959. In 2005, Susan married her loving husband, Mark Pellegrini, with whom she lived a wonderful life. Mark lovingly lived up to his marriage vows to Susan by caring for her until her dying breath as she battled lung cancer. Susan was a fighter and she showed her true colors when she fought to the very end.

Susan mothered two sons with her former spouse, Bob Cascio, whom they proudly raised together. Susan was a wonderful nonna and was loved dearly by her four beautiful grandchildren.

From the years of 1995-2024, Susan worked in several different jobs and in 2016 Susan worked as a social worker helping those less fortunate. Susan enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and throwing parties.

Susan was predeceased by her mother, Annie Hodum, her grandmother, Julia Hodum, and her aunt Nancy Bytner. She is survived by her husband Mark Pellegrini, her sons Bobby Cascio and Domenick Cascio, daughters in law, Jenna Cascio, Krystal Cascio, her step-children, Nic and Ryan Pellegrini and her grandchildren, Maria, Isabella, Vincenzo and Rockwell, and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

A visitation for Susan will be held Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Orland Funeral Home, 9900 W 143RD ST, ORLAND PARK, IL 60462. A mass of christian burial Monday, July 29, 2024 from 9:30 AM at SS. Cyril & Methodius Parish, 608 Sobieski St, Lemont, IL 60439, with a house pass to follow. Internment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums in Justice, IL 60458.
