Patty was the former wife and mother of Ernest Nugent's five children. She was widowed by the late William Donald Reid in 2017. She remarried a former sweetheart she had known since 1958, Perry DeLapouyade in 2020. They enjoyed each other's company with antique shopping, trying new restaurants, watching Sunday morning TV preaching, and a slew of doctor appointments. She was a fierce mama bear to her children. In her later years, her children became her best friends, closest allies, and the ones she could count on and trust. We lost our 83 year old mama at home in Dr’s. Inlet on Tuesday, March 5. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Those who greatly mourn her passing are her husband Perry DeLapouyade, her children Cynthia (Russell) Huntley, Sunny Newman, Angeline Taylor, Rebekah Bellamy, and Bryan (Jaime) Nugent, her grandchildren Jole Fountain, Darci (Zach) Johnson, Makayla (Cameron) Sterner, Alcola (Robert) Twigg, Byron (Brittany), Nikki, Jesse, Jazlyn, Jaiden, and Xavion Taylor; Ronnie, Rianna, Connor (Robyn), and Savannah (Justin) Bellamy, and April and Bridget Nugent; and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Monday, March 11, 2024 at 11AM at Peoria Cemetery, 142 Jefferson Street, Orange Park, FL 32065, with Pastor Ken Pledger officiating.
