Kreg L. Maeder

Kreg was born in Pensacola, Florida to Robert and Shirley Maeder and believed he was his mom's favorite. As the middle child, Kreg spent most of his childhood and young adult life in Ralston, Nebraska with his brother Kirk and sister Brenda. Kreg being all-boy, spent many hours in the local ER due to a battery of childhood accidents and mishaps. His mom always said he had nine lives. Kreg enlisted in the Airforce and was assigned to the Red Horse Civil Engineering Division. After serving in the military, he worked in construction and Hardware Retail.

Kreg was a devoted Father and Husband: who loved attending church: hunting, woodworking, fishing; supporting the Boyscouts; tinkering with cars: playing with dogs (not cats)

Kreg always approached life with a colorful sense of humor (slightly warped) and you would often see him with a grin on his face that would light up a room. He loved life and had a generous heart. He was often found outside admiring God's creations or inside the garage making on of Kreg's many "One of a kind creations." He had a passion for good food and loved to travel. Nebraska was his home and the Huskers were his team. He believed in God, loved his country and was proud to be American.......as displayed by many of his T-shirts and baseball caps.

Kreg is survived by his wife Tami, adult children Krystle, Luke and Lindsey Maeder and many loving relatives and friends. It is his family's desire to please consider donating to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Foundation to help find a cure for this devastating disease.

The family will receive friends on Thursday at Orange Park United Methodist Church, 2051 Park Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073 at 11:00am, a celebration of life service for Kreg will begin at noon. Kreg will be laid to rest beside his brothers in arms at Omaha National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 18 at 11:00am.
