Horace (H.B.) Ray Jr., 88, of Jacksonville, FL, died March 28th, 2016. He was born on September 9th, 1927. to parents Horace Ray Sr. and Bertie Mae Ray in Waycross, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 55 years and Eternal Companion, Loriene Ray.
H.B. was a Mechanic for the Winn Dixie Company for 30 years and enjoyed camping, wood-working and his family in his retirement.
H.B. is survived by his two sons; Jack Daniel (Kathy) and John Ray, three daughters; Joey Walters, Barbra Lee, Valerie Carney (James) , 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
H.B. was a wonderful Husband and Father who will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held 6-8 PM Friday, April 1st at HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, 127 Blanding Blvd Orange Park, FL. There will be a celebration of his life 10 AM Saturday, April 2nd at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 461 Blanding Blvd Orange Park, FL.
