David was an avid hobbyist, enjoying making anything out of wood. A musician, he played the drums and guitar and could be found at an open mic night every few weeks in his earlier years. Being an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, he loved the outdoors, camping, hiking and fishing; traveling to Australia and living in Alaska allowed him to enjoy it even more so.
He is survived by his mother, Sheila Burrell and his sister, Heather Rodney. His children, Caden and Kaya Burrell. His niece, Laura Lamprecht (Randell) and his nephew, Langston VanRooy.
David was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Thomas Burrell.
Services will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Mandarin Presbyterian Church, 2501 Loretto Road, Jacksonville Fl. 32223 with Visitation at 10:00am with Services following at 11:00am
In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family asks that donations be made to any reputable Veterans program in David’s name.
