Maria A. Montalvo, 95, of Deland, FL, passed peacefully from this life on June 26, 2017. Maria was born to the late Isidro and Maria Huerta in Havana, Cuba on August 7, 1921. Maria came to America from Cuba in 1962 and began a career as a sales clerk. She was also a long time member of St. Barnabas Church in Deland, FL. Maria will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Rafael Montalvo.
Left to cherish Maria’s memory is her son Rafael Montalvo, his wife Lisa Frank Montalvo and her granddaughter Emily Montalvo.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday June 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, located at 319 W Wisconsin Ave, Deland, FL 32720. Maria will be interred with her husband at Greenwood Cemetery at 2:30 P.M., located at 1603 Greenwood St. Orlando, Florida 32801.
