Margaret Mary "Marge" Bennett

Margaret Mary “Marge” Bennett, 91, of DeBary died May 10, 2015 in her residence. Marge was born on April 13, 1924 in Union City, New Jersey; the daughter of William and Julia Schlemm. She married Warren Bennett on June 1, 1946 and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2005. Marge and her family lived many years in New Jersey prior to moving to Florida in 1974. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in DeBary and worked at Roses Department Store in DeLand for 15 years.

Survivors include her sons, Ronald, Warren, and Gary Bennett, daughters, Debra Bennett and Patricia Mezey, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Gerald Schlemm and Isabell Deutch. Marge was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Kenneth Bennett, grandson, Michael Bennett, brothers, William and Peter Schlemm, and her sister, Marie Pansini.

Visitation for Marge will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL. 32763. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 15th at 9:00 am at St. Ann Catholic Church, 26 Dogwood Trail, DeBary FL. 32713. Burial will take place in Deltona Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either St. Ann Catholic Church or Halifax Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32119.
