June Ann (Dilts) Williams, 92, was called to meet her maker, 5/15/2015, at the Villa Health and Rehabilitation Center in Deland. June was adopted by loving and caring parents, Dr Charles Ray and Elsie (Miller) Dilts in 1924 in Lima Ohio. It is said that she was mischievous and inquisitive as a child. As a teenager, she was a swimmer for her high school. She is survived by two of her three sons, Dewey Williams of Deland, Florida and Jerry Williams of Merritt Island, Florida, Ms. Millie Williams of Baton Rouge, La, plus many grandchildren great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who will sorely miss her. She lost her middle son, David Williams, to cancer several years prior in Baton Rouge, LA. As a young adult during the WWII years, 1943, she married future space coast engineer, Walter Williams, and moved To Cocoa, Florida with Walter, Dewey & David (Jerry being born in Cocoa). In the post WWII years, she was active in the Civil Air Patrol and piloted small aircraft for a while, from the old Merritt Island airport from which Bill Cessory flew the Mosquito spraying plane in those days. Part of her career included working in Base Supply at Patrick AFB and at the Orlando Naval Center in Orlando, before retirement. Outgoing and cheerful, she never met a stranger, human or animal. A loving and giving person of the greatest magnitude, forever genuine. She cherished her memories of raising her sons, took up painting and worked at making the life of whoever she met, better. She will be remembered by all who knew her.
