George served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963.
George was married to Patricia on October 5, 1968.
George worked as an Operating Engineer for the Union in New York and in Florida. George had a passion for antique cars.
George was survived by his wife, Patricia Yessen; his children, Andrew Yessen (Barbara) and Patrick Yessen (Maiko); his grandchild, Yamato Yessen; and his brother, Tommy Yessen.
George was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Stephenie.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, January 12, 2024, at All Souls Catholic Church in Sanford, FL, Historic Chapel Location, 800 S. Oak Avenue, Sanford, FL 32771. Followed by a service at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery located at 5525 U.S. Highway 1, North, Mims, FL 32754
