Her most honorable occupation of 30 years was as a Sky Chef overseeing the food service for the American Airlines. She also owned and managed her own shoe store in Bronx, New York.
Those who were blessed to have known Eneida know she was full of love, energy, always happy with her contagious laugh, and on the go. Eneida was a strong independent hardworking woman, whom wouldn’t let anything or anybody stop her from accomplishing what she set out to do.
She moved at the age of sixteen from Guanica, Puerto Rico to the Bronx, New York where she married her late husband Natalio Pagán and had their two children, her boys. Later in 1991 she moved to Deltona, Florida where she would continue to care for her late mother with the help of her late son Roland. She remained in Deltona until her passing under the care of her daughter in law María, also where she will be laid to rest.
Her first, true love was always for her family especially for her late mother Christina, whom she cared for many years at home until she passed at the age 113 years old. Her other love was for her late two sons Kenny and Roland. She was also often surrounded by lots of grandchildren, family, friends and many other loved ones throughout her life.
She religiously started her day every morning at 5am with her coffee. Eneida often spent her time with family in her home where she always greeted everyone with a delicious hot cup of coffee, followed by her Puerto Rican cuisine. No one was ever going to leave her home hungry, she loved to cook and made sure everyone had full tummies before going home.
When Eneida wasn’t in the kitchen she was singing, dancing, and laughing. She definitely loved music, and was always the life of the party! She was up until her last day on earth singing and moving to the tunes she loved. She would often sing her own tunes to any and every one she loved or even to people she may have just met in passing.
“Por los ańos que me quedan por vivir yo los amaré y los sigo amando”
Translation “For the years I have left to live I will love you and continue loving you”
Those of us blessed to have had even a small amount of time with Eneida, knew she loved us no matter who we were. She was definitely loving individual whom we all cherish and will continue to carry on her spirit with us in our daily lives moving forward.
