Deltona, FL, age 76, passed away Saturday morning, July 21, 2012.
He was born February 8, 1936 in Rome, NY, the son of Bernard Oliver and Dorothy May Nellis. Bernie was honorably discharged from the US Air Force in December of 1970. He moved to Florida from Colorado in 1971, where he met his wife of 36 years, Fay. Bernie earned an AA Degree in 1975 and an AS Degree in Data Processing Technology in 1985. He retired from SEI (System & Engineering Inc) in 1999. Bernard enjoyed racing, plants, Native American pow wows, motorcycles, weather and traveling to new places.
Bernie is survived by his children, Charles, Robert, Debra, Kenneth, Greg, Rodney and Melissa; grandchildren, John, Chris, Joe, Zack, Amanda, Gregory, Patricia, Preston, Michael, Danielle, Taylor, Aiden, Kelsey and Kaylynn; great-grandsons, Tyler and Mason; brother, Richard; cousin, Patricia; 2 nephews and 1 niece
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 4th at 12 PM at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City.
