Arlene Jones

Arlene Estelle Locey was born June 11, 1926, to Zunilda Bolton Locey (1895 –1976) and George Albert Locey (1892 –1971) at Deaconess Hospital, Buffalo, New York joining siblings Flora Arlene Locey Howe (1916-1990) and Mark Munnell Locey (1918-1991)

Arlene spent her childhood in Alabama, Mississippi and New York graduating from Kensington High School in Buffalo, NY. In 1944. Arlene married John William Jones November 6, 1945, at Kensington Alliance Church in

Buffalo, NY becoming a pastor's wife and moved to Holiday, PA. Son John W Jones was born December 1946 and preceded her in death in 2019.

Crooked Creek, Bellfont, Townville and Kane, PA were their early church homes. In 1963 the family moved to Wesleyville Baptist Church in Erie, PA. In 1977, Arlene graduated as a licensed practical nurse. In 1982 Arlene and John retired and moved to Casselberry, Florida. During this time, they served in the Minister at Large program taking them to Watertown, NY, Oneida, NY, Kittanning, PA, Vinton, IA, Hudson Falls, NY, and Punxsutawney, PA.

Arlene was very creative, and enjoyed singing, directing the church choir, working with ceramics, and knitting. She was also a very accomplished painter. In 2001 Arlene and John moved to the Alliance Community in Deland, Florida. John passed away in 2003. Since 2017 Arlene has resided at The Cypress in the Alliance Community until moving to the Health Center in 2021.

Arlene is survived by Daughter-In-Law Elaine Jones, Grandchildren Faith Jones Campbell and Justin W Jones, and Great Grandchildren Aiden Campbell and Autumn Campbell. Son Mark & Laura Jones, Grandchild Jason W. Jones and Great Grandchild Summer Jones. Son Paul & Annette Jones.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Family Life Fellowship, P.O. Box 567, Lake Hamilton FL 33851.
