Charles Eugene Morgan, age 86, of Mansfield, passed away September 4, 2024. He was born June 2, 1938, in Butler, Tennessee, the son of Clay and Della (Ward) Morgan, residing in the Mansfield area since 1983.
After high school, Charles served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by General Motors as a patternmaker and die maker. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Green, Ohio; Past Master of Frank Marquis Lodge #690 F&AM; Past High Priest of Mansfield Chapter #28, Royal Arch Masons; Mansfield Council #94; Mansfield Commandry #21; Past Watchman of Shepards of White Shrine of Jerusalem; Order of the Amaranth; Baku Grotto in Mansfield; Al Koran Shrine in Cleveland; life member of Valley of Canton Scottish Rite; and life member of Amvets Post 31, Ontario.
Family includes his son, Robert (Kathy) Morgan of Polk City Florida; former wife, Elizabeth A. Kirkpatrick Morgan; sister, Betty Kleiber of Canal Fulton; brother, John (Janet) of Springfield Township, Ohio; and stepsons, Michael (Michelle) Zeiter of Mansfield, and Daniel (Cindy) Zeiter of Ontario.
The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Wappner Funeral Directors-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Glenn Rogers Jr. will follow at 10:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Mansfield Cemetery.
