Robert E. Corpus

Robert E. Corpus, of Ontario, CA passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, October 29th, 2023 at the age of 90. He was born on September 19th, 1933 in Yorktown, Texas to Abelino and Eliza Corpus. He met and married Lillie Ruiz when he was 18.

He started working for Lockheed at 19 in 1952 in Peyote Texas and after 2-1/2 years he transferred to Ontario, CA where he worked as an overhaul and repair structural mechanic and was sent abroad to Saudi Arabia from 1978 to 1981 and again in 1994, then retiring in 1995 with 43 years of service. He then worked part time at John Deere for few years before fully retiring.

Robert was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved watching baseball and football, enjoying their summer home in Bullhead City, AZ, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Lillie and is survived by his son Larry (Sue Corpus) and daughter Sandi (Danny Ruiz); his grandchildren Natalee and Nathan; great grandchildren Ford and Maverick; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their thanks for the immeasurable support and loving care given by his caretakers Maria, Ron, Vinoda, Mia, and Rocio.

Visitation and Rosary will be held at Drapers Mortuary, 811 N Mountain Ave., Ontario, CA on Friday November 17th 2023 from 10:00 -12:00 followed by a Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 877 N. Campus Ave., Upland, CA at 1:00.

Reception to be held following the mass at Rancho Cucamonga Goldy S. Lewis Community Center, 11200 Baseline Rd., Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Internment will be held on Wednesday November 22nd at 11:30 at Bellevue Memorial Park 1240 W. G St., Ontario, CA.
