Some of Marilyn’s fondest memories were roller skating (she could dance and skate backwards), tap dancing, camping and playing penny rummy, and parties with all of her family (her dad was one of 18, and her mom was one of 9).
She was the kindest person you would ever meet and lived life to the fullest. She loved gambling and banging on the machine for good luck, she loved tacos and cheese enchiladas (with light sauce), loved her sweets, loved the Hallmark Channel, The Five, and loved any holiday because it meant that our family would be together.
Marilyn’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were so special to her, she was so proud of all of their accomplishments and loved each and every one of them unconditionally.
The love of Marilyn’s life, Thomas Hughes preceded her in death. We know our dad took our mom’s hand and guided her on her journey to Heaven and now they are dancing together in Heaven and watching over us all.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters - Leslie Diane Naretta (John), Kimberly Lay (Bob), Michelle Kobold (Marvin).
Grandchildren - Jason Kobold (Misti), Kerrstyn Vega, Maury Vega, Chase Geissel (Britny), Travis Naretta, Max Geissel (Tawny), Stephanie Hughes, Emily Hughes, Anastaschia Hughes, Tommy Hughes, Krystina Hughes.
Great-grandchildren - Presley and Memphis Kobold, Wyatt and Raegan Geissel, Jack and Logan Vega, Lillie and Dejah Zavitz, Collis, Collin, Malisha, Dalton, Jax, Elizzibeth, and Jordelle Hughes-Davis, Mella and Adryan Winston, Carter and Ellie Mae Kenter.
