John leaves behind his wife Linda Welch Eggers of 30 years and children, Laura (Greg), two sons, Michael and Steven (Sharon). He also had 6 grandchildren. John had two sisters Nelly and Olga (Ron) a brother Erik (Wendy). John is survived by several nieces and nephews. He served in the US Army from 1965-1967 and was deployed to Vietnam. He was employed by GTE from 1968-1998. His favorite pastimes were tinkering with and making wooden furniture. Also going to their 2nd home at the river and boating. Lastly he enjoyed his grandchildren.
