Ernesto Secuya

On Thursday, June 30th, 2022, Ernesto Secuya, loving husband, father of 3 children, and 8 grandchildren, passed away at the age of 80 years old. Ernesto was born on October 18th, 1941 in Kahuku, Hawaii to Felicisimo and Demetria Secuya and grew up with his 4 siblings, Kenneth, Rosita, Felicisimo Jr. and Patrick.

He proudly served in the US Army and Army National Guard from 1959-1971. Ernesto moved to California where he began his career at GTE and Verizon for more than 35 years. He met the love of his life Jane Secuya and they raised their 3 children Angela, Jessica and Daniel in their home town of Alta Loma. Ernesto was a man of few words, but his aloha spirit touched everyone. He was a humble, kind, caring, and patient man. He loved the University of Hawaii Football Team, playing golf, surfing beach trips, but his favorite pastime was spending quality time with his family and eight grandkids - Jena, Oliver, Owen, Christian, Vivian, Joie, Kainoa and Kaleo.

A visitation will be held at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, CA, on Friday, August 5th, 2022 at 11:00am, followed by his memorial service at 12:30pm. He will be laid to rest at Bellevue Memorial Park at 2:30pm. Thank you all for your sincere love and support.

The family of Ernesto requests that anyone attending the services mentioned above, would please wear Hawaiian attire.
